Jordan Oriental Medicine, LLC offers several proven and safe methods to bring the body back into balance, depending on your individual needs. The list below offers a brief description of what they are.

Herbs

Much has been written in recent years about herbs and their healing power, and many modern pharmaceutical drugs are based on the chemical compounds found within these plants. Oriental Medicine has used combinations of healing herbs for thousands of years, specially formulated to safely and effectively resolve particular health concerns.

There are many different formulations that can be used for the same health issue. Choosing the right one for a patient requires considering which herbs will work in harmony with the patient's current state of health. A pregnant woman craves certain foods that contain what she is missing to feed herself and her growing child. Similarly, each of our bodies gives us a hint as to what we need and is used in the diagnosis.

We have one of the largest and most complete herbal dispensaries in Arizona at Jordan Oriental Medicine, LLC to provide you with best matched formula for your needs.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the practice of applying needles to specific points on the body's meridians to effectively bring the body back into balance. When used in tandem with or other healing methods it can be a powerful means for improving health. Acupuncture can be used to focus on specific concerns, or used to tonify general health.

At Jordan Oriental Medicine, LLC we only use disposable needles. We generally use the finer 40 and 42 gauge Japanese style needles. Typically the thicker 24 to 36 gauge Chinese style needles are used. The finer needles allow for more comprehensive treatments and do so with less discomfort than larger needles.

Acupressure

Acupressure is the practice of applying pressure to specific points on the body's meridians to effectively bring the body back into balance. It is safe and effective for young children, or for adults seeking to accelerate the healing process between appointments.

Laser Acupuncture

Laser acupuncture is the practice of applying a particular frequency of red laser light to specific points on the body's meridians to effectively bring the body back into balance. It is safe and effective for young children, or those concerned about the use of needles.

Ocular Acupuncture

Ocular acupuncture is the practice of diagnosing symptoms detectable in the white area of the eyes, and then treating using needles near the eyes.

Auricular Acupuncture

Auricular Acupuncture is the practice of diagnosing symptoms detectable in the tissue of the ears. We then use ear seeds to apply constant pressure stimulation to the relevant acupuncture points in the ears.

Due to safety concerns, we do not use ear tacks.

Electro Stimulation

Electro Stimulation is the practice of applying a gentle electrical current through acupuncture needles. It can accelerate the healing response for certain conditions; in particular it is quite effective for healing bones and clearing pain.

Cupping

Cupping is the practice of placing small vacuum chambers on areas of the skin. Their gentle suction can quickly remove stagnation in the body; in particular it is quite effective for healing lung congestion and clearing pain.

Moxibustion Therapy

Moxibustion Therapy is the practice of indirectly warming acupuncture points using specially formulated moxibustion sticks.

Light Therapy

Light Therapy is the practice of applying specific frequencies of visible light in a focused beam to certain areas of a patient's skin. The type of light and area of the body are chosen to create a desired healing response. It is frequently used for reducing both stress and inflammation.
